BACKGROUND

Patterson Construction was founded in 1958 by Harold Benard Patterson and has been operating without interruption ever since. In its more than 60-year history, it has never had a complaint brought against its license and has left thousands of customers satisfied. Patterson Construction is now run by the grandsons of Harold Benard who take the honor and legacy of their family very seriously.

Grandson Collin Patterson and his Wife Susan have now continued to carry on the strong legacy of Patterson Construction operating under the DBA of C&S Roofing (Collin & Susan Roofing). C&S Roofing has honored the family legacy by continuing to grow in its abilities and expand into new territories; while always remembering where it came from and being thoughtful of its loyal customers that made it what it is today.

In 2020, C&S Roofing hit somewhat of a plateau in growth and realized they would greatly benefit from the experience and insight provided by an outside consulting company. Desiring to take their business to the next level, Collin & Susan knew they needed to develop a strategic plan for growth and identify the gaps in their business. Developing a growth strategy, while implementing more structure and accountability would help ensure the company meets its goals and gives the owners a better idea of where the business is going proactively.

To assist in these areas, C&S Roofing hired the services of Waters Business Consulting Group. Since this time, WBCG has been able to provide structure & clarity, clear goals, increased accountability, and tactical Action Items that have allowed C&S Roofing to grow to the next level and increase revenues by 400% since 2020.

Disorganization in workflows and unclear processes and procedures, including client and project management
Although C&S had a good grip of current financials, they were uncertain with forecasting to create revenue targets as well as cash flow tracking, resulting in sub-optimal financial decision making and accounting decisions

Use financial forecasting data provided to better formulate strategies, key objectives, and tactical Action Items to assist C&S Roofing in operating effectively and profitably
Develop an organization Structure to clearly define roles and responsibilities of staff members as the business scales
Create a Workflow Process map to visualize internal & external company processes from beginning to end as well as identify which employees are executing each process
Identify Key Performance Indicators to ensure all employees have accountability and manage the growth of their respective area while being rewarded
Analyze Company Investments to create productivity through software, improved processing & systems, and hiring
Identify the vision and culture of C&S Roofing to provide greater clarity and organization for focused. direction and results that translate to more efficiencies, profits, and business value

The owners now understand the true financial strengths and weaknesses of the company, there is more clarity and confidence in the company's direction and profitability resulting in less stress
Record sales projected to surpass $8,000,000 in 2022 with improving net profits
Added key employee talent to the organization that fit the company culture to support growth, and free up time of owners to focus on their strengths
C&S Roofing has now partnered with 2 National Builder Clients, and 1 international client, on major key projects in the Phoenix and Tucson area; and are now bidding with 2 additional national builders
Responsibilities within the team have been clearly established, each team member is aware of who they report to and what they are accountable for
Increased purpose and direction from the entire team, as well as less management on the part of the owners, allowing them to concentrate on leadership and vision
Increased monitoring of key metrics within the pipeline, financials, and more
