Founded in 1991, Sun Country Landscape is a full-service commercial landscaping company providing maintenance and construction services across Arizona. After acquiring the business, the current owner set out to scale operations and improve profitability within a competitive and labor-intensive industry. While the company had built a loyal client base over time, its ability to grow consistently was hindered by rising labor costs, inefficiencies in staffing, and inconsistent client retention.

Despite its long-standing presence in the market, Sun Country faced several internal operational challenges. The management structure lacked accountability, and key roles within the organization were underperforming. The overhead expenses in relation to revenue squeezed profit margins and cash flow.

In early 2021, the owner was referred to Waters Business Consulting Group by another commercial landscape client to address these issues. The goal of the engagement was to transform Sun Country into a scalable, financially stable, and profitable organization. This involved implementing financial discipline, improving operational accountability, strengthening team performance, and establishing systems to drive both revenue growth and margin improvement.
